CASTING DOWN EVIL IMAGINATIONS
Main text: 2 Corinthians 10:4 – ‘For the weapon of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling of strongholds. Casting down every evil imagination, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ ’
James 4:7– Submit therefore to God resist the devil and he will flee from you
God has endowed Christians with power, authority and dominion over all the earth and beyond – all devils. Lucifer was created in beauty but when sin was found in him and he imagined in his heart to excel above God, he was cast down. Angel Michael and his angels prevailed over Lucifer and his angels – Revelation 12:7-8. Afterwards he became Satan or devil when he was cast down to earth. Till this minute, Satan is engaged in the corruption of the mind of man because when the mind is corrupt, the output will always be evil.
The mind is the centre of imagination and if a Christian takes control of his mind, renewing it by the word of God and the fellowship of the Spirit daily in his life. Holiness that reaches the mind is true holiness. When you confess Christ with your mouth and your heart is the habitation of evil, then you will never produce righteousness of Christ even when you carry out righteous acts.
Don’t allow your faith to be only in words but in your reasoning. Overcoming faith proceeds from the mind and victory is sure to those who are victors already in their minds.

Prayer point- Oh Lord, I pull down every evil imagination in my mind in Jesus name.
