WHO ARE YOUR TRUE FRIENDS?
MAIN TEXT: PROVERBS 18:24
“A man that hath friends must show himself friendly; and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother”.
1 CORINTHIANS 15:33 – Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character”.
How many of the people we consider as friends, truly care about us? How many encourage us in our visions, and dreams, and are they there for us when we fall? If we are honest with ourselves, many of the people we spend time with are time consumers who drain our energy and trivialize our dreams.
The account of David, Jonathan, Ruth and Naomi are good examples of what true relationship, should be. Ruth1:16 “Where ever you go I will go”, In the case of Jonathan he was ready to forget the throne for David being an Heir to the throne. 1st Samuel 20:16-17. Do we have friends like that? If not, we should spend more time cultivating relationship with those who genuinely care about us, who don’t feel threatened by our success and want to see us fail.
We should spend more serious time with friends who believe in our God-given potentials and in us. Give to others whatever you desire in your life. Become a true friend to others, and you will harvest blessings in your own life, plant seeds of blessings in the lives of others today.
A TRUE FRIENDSHIP CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR GOOD
Prayer point- Every unfriendly friend that is connected to my life must be exposed in Jesus name.
