TELL GOD FIRST
MAIN TEXT: PSALM 18:6
“In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help, from his temple. He heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears”.
Psalms 50:15
And call on me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you and you shall honour and glorify me.
To tell God first means to engage God in a conversation over a matter first before taking action. In this conversation, you ought to adore God for what and whom he is, confessing your sins to God, thanking God for what he has done, what he is doing and what he is yet to do, making your supplications known to God and listening to him to receive divine instructions, directive or solution. God loves to communicate with his children because he created us for his own Glory.
Today’s topic “tell God first” implies that there is something or a challenge before you. What is that challenge that is confronting you? Tell God first about it; take it to your father in heaven first. He is all wise and all knowing. He knows the solution to all your challenges.
As God’s children we are servants and God is our master. As servants, we cannot take decisions on any matter on our own but must take the matter(s) to the master who is all wise and all knowing and able to take the decision and direct us on what to do. In doing this we will not make mistakes in life. May the Lord bless you as you rely on Him? Amen
