MAKE AMENDS

MAKE AMENDS

MAIN TEXT: LUKE 19:8 (KJV)

“And Zacchaeus stood and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by ‘false accusation’, I restore him fourfold”.

Zacchaeus had a bad reputation. As a tax collector he got rich by bilking people. Zacchaeus’ repentance came with the fact that Jesus spent night at his house. There is no depth of sin or injustice that we are into that God cannot reach us. He is always ready and willing to reach out to us if we can decide to make that turn around. If Zacchaeus being a well-known tax collector in the whole city of Jericho could be saved, then you too shall have salvation today. In Luke 9:9, Jesus answered Zacchaeus saying, ‘Today salvation has come to this house’.

Today, Jesus is saying the same to you but are you willing to accept this free gift of God and turn from your wicked ways? Why not accept this salvation. The basis of true emotional healing rests on your willingness to give all to Jesus and when possible, make amends with those you have hurt. If you owe someone a debt, you must try to pay it. If you have wounded them, you must apologize and try to respond to the relationship. When you do so, you are fulfilling the law of Christ.

We can make it if we allow humility and the Holy Spirit to take over our hearts. It does not matter who is wrong, you that know the truth should go and make peace with man so that you relationship with God will be alright.

HEAL A WOUNDED SOUL TODAY THROUGH  RECONCILIATION AND APOLOGY.

Prayer Point: Father, give me the grace to make amends and heal my hurts, and those I have equally hurt in Jesus name.
