POSSESS A CHILD LIKE HEART
Main Text: Matthew 5:8 ‘Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God”.
Colossians 3:13 – ‘Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
A child like heart is a heart that easily forgives and hardly holds grudges. The heart of a child is without guile, deceit and fault finding. Because of the purity of a child’s heart, Jesus used it as a parameter to measure holiness for the adult. Listen, Jesus requires us to possess this kind of heart because that is the kind he inhabits”. A child like heart forgives and lets go easily, for such, the offense of yesterday is not relevant for today.
When our heart is pure, God can reveal and manifest himself through us. He will bring us to a place where we can begin to experience his glorious personality. And we also begin to enjoy fellowship with him. Our relationship with God will happen and God will manifest certain divine nature in us. When you don’t easily pick offense, you hardly quarrel and this can increase your life immunity and lengthens your life span.
A child’s heart is free of burden or wrong and full of trust and love for people around him. Jesus wants your heart to be free of wrong, anxiety and doubt, but he wants your hearts to be full of trust and love for him. He wants us to know that he cannot fail us. A child trusts that every promise made by his father will be fulfilled. That is how God wants us to fully trust him. He is CAPABLE, RELIABLE AND DEPENDABLE.
