VALUE YOUR SOUL
MAIN TEXT: Matthew 4:4 – But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Mark 8:36 – For what doth it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?
Beloved, your soul is of great value. There is nothing that you can give in exchange for your soul. Your soul is your conscious personal self, the “I” that knows itself as “me”. Your soul is the identity of who you really are. The soul shall be judged at the judgment seat of God and record of our lives will be examined.
The achievements and how you live your life is determined by the state of your soul. Value your soul by studying and meditating on God’s word daily for the fullness of the Holy Spirit to preside in our soul. Abstain from ill words that break and weaken the soul. Enrich your soul with pure teachings that do not contradict God and His ways. Association with wrong people can destroy the soul and a fellowship with the right people can positively impact your soul for your glory.
I urge you to abstain from the lusts of the flesh and its passions which war against your soul. The greatest asset a man has is in the soul of man. May God take away sins and defilements that destroy and imprison your soul. Entrusting your soul to God is the beginning of placing value to your soul.
