CURE FOR BACKSLIDING
Main Text- 1John 1:7- But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus His son purifies us from all sin.
1Johon 1:9- if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
The greatest desire that God has for every human being is that none shall perish but that all should be eternally saved. It is never in His salvation plan to see us go back to the bondage that He delivered us from. Even when you see yourself walking backwards, today marks the end to such destructive lifestyles in Jesus’ name, Amen.
There is a conditional statement in our main scriptural text which is “But if we walk in the light”. Nonstop fellowship with God keeps us walking in the light where we cannot stumble because we are strengthened in fellowship and light guides our day to day steps and decisions. When we maintain unbreakable fellowship then we are sure that in every such fellowship, the blood of Jesus Christ is available to wash and purify us anew against condemnation.
The key is to confess the sins and not to harbor sins and give place for guilt. The establishment of guilt in you allows condemnation to set in. Beloved, God’s plan is to save you forever.
DO NOT NEGLECT THE FELLOWSHIP WIH BRETHREN AND WITH GOD. IT BEGINS FROM THERE
Prayer-Lord Jesus, I believe in your complete and finished work of salvation. I refuse to be bound again. Amen.
