LET YOUR SEED DIE
MAIN TEXT: John 14:24 ‘Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth by itself alone; but if it die, it beareth much fruit.’
Genesis 8:22 – While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”
A little boy planted seeds of beans in his mother’s garden, the next morning he went to check how the beans is doing. He got there but to his disappointment, he did not see the beans growing. He immediately opened the soil to see the beans seed, and he brought it out and put it back. He did the same the next time until the mummy told him to be patient and allow the seed to die. He waited and the seed began to grow.
You see, the power in a seed may not produce desired result until it dies. In Christ Jesus, is the salvation of the world but even Christ needed to come to the world and die before the power of salvation was made manifest. Christ is the seed of God sown for the redemption of man.
Seeds are given to every human being from God to plant into the world for the success of man. Your seed could be money, talent, and so many other resources invested in our lives. When we sow seeds as God instructs, we should apply patience and absolute believe in God to enable the seeds to yield good results.
SEEDS ARE THE TINY BLESSINGS THAT YIELD FUTURE ABUNDANCE
PRAYER: God, direct me to sow seeds in good, right seasons and fertile ground. Let my seeds sown, speak good for me in Jesus’ name, Amen.
