STRENGTHEN THE WEAK

STRENGTHEN THE WEAK

Main text: Job 4:3-4- Behold, you have instructed many and you have strengthened the weak hands. Your words have upheld him who was stumbling and you have made firm the feeble knees.

Isaiah 35:3 (NKJV)-Strengthen the weak hands and confirm the feeble knees.

A saying that all fingers are not equal, also applies to the Christian family. We are all brethren, redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord. But we still have our differences as individuals. We come from different backgrounds; we are not all at the same level of understanding and spiritual maturity, as some of us still see men as trees. Some of us over time have come to a height in our walk with God, while some of us just started and some of us still stagger on their way. God is well aware of this, and as a father He is, has made provision for the weak among us. Of course God will always use His people to meet the need of His people. And so God’s provision for the weak among us, lies in the hands of the strong.

We as members of God family should encourage one another. We are not to take advantage of the weakness of the weak to bring them down in other to show our strength. When you find your backsliding brother, help him up in prayers and don’t make hima topic for discussion. When you see a sister struggling with one bad habit or another, encourage and support her through prayers to overcome it rather than painting her the bad sister. Let our words be seasoned with salt and grace that the weak hearers may be encouraged, edified and built up. Let us learn to hold up one another in prayers and not tear down each other with gossip, bickering, slander and backbiting. Let us learn to cover one another’s nakedness and not announce and expose ourselves for the world to see.If you are not for Christ, you are against Him. And if you are for Christ, you will work to build his family by supporting and strengthening the weak among us, through your words and actions.
