TOUGH TIMES DON’T LAST

MAIN TEXT: PSALM 30:5 “… Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes in the morning”.

1 Peter 5:10 – “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, establish and strengthen you.

Tough times can come in various ways which have the tendencies to knockdown someone and cause emotional breakdown. In today’s topic, it says that tough times do not last. This is true, particularly for those who put their trust in God. We should not give up whenever we experience disappointment or setbacks because it may worsen the situation.

God protects and offers succor in times of difficulties. Jesus made it clear in John16:33 that He has overcome the world on behalf of the sons of God. Consider 2 Corinthians 4:17 which says that affliction may come, but for a moment, meaning that setbacks or difficulties are momentary and transient. God has released His overcoming grace to us even when we are in a difficult moment, bearing in mind that it will soon be over.

Hold God by the grace that is already sufficient to see you through. The end of that pain and affliction has come. Do not look at the present tough situation, look at the glorious end of it. There is no pit of darkness that God cannot pull out His child from. Darkness may mean in a condition where you cannot see help from any person but be assured that God is with you.

THE SEASON OF WEEPING HAS COME TO END

PRAYER: Thank you, Lord, for giving me the victory over the afflictions and the grace that ends evil oppressions in Jesus name, Amen
