BURN FOR GOD

MAIN TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:58
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

ROMANS 12:11
Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor, be aglow and burn with the Spirit, serving the Lord.

To burn for God simply means to have a heart on fire for God. This means having a fervent passion for God and all things that involve Him; you are ready to take the work of God to anywhere, any time and at any cost. When you love God, you are ready to die for His sake. That is why Jesus and the Apostle Paul rebuked their disciples not to be a hindrance to their doing the work of God. The Apostle Paul told the brethren and Agabus the prophet who prophesied about his arrest, that he was ready to go any length for the gospel, and He was ever ready to die for Jesus Christ (Acts 21:10-13).

Jesus in Matthew 16:23 rebuked Peter for not wanting Him to go to the cross. These are hearts that burn for God. Are you ready to serve, do the will or business of God, no matter how hard or dangerous it is? You must get to this level in serving God because his fire signifies his presence, power, purity, and protection in your life and nothing can harm you.

To burn for God, your heart must be void of bitterness, be one that forgives always, feed yourself with the word of God and pray daily for it releases the fire of God. Serve others, fellowship with brethren, share the good news (evangelize) and you will see God manifest Himself through you. Remain blessed.

BURN NOW FOR GOD AND YOU WILL BE FULL OF LIGHT

PRAYER: Oh Spirit Divine, release your unquenchable fire upon me to ignite me all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
