PRAYER WORKS WONDERS
MAIN TEXT: Daniel 6:10 “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days”.
Philippians 4:6—“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”.
The thing to understand about this man Daniel is the habit of prayer in his life, three times daily, on his knees, and it says as he had done. This is a man who took prayer seriously; this was part of his life, this was part of his character. In fact, this was so much part of his character that his enemies in Persia recognized that the only way we’re going to get rid of this man is if we passed some kind of law saying no more prayer.
Nothing escapes the all-seeing eyes of God. Nothing is beyond the scope of His knowledge. Have you been fooled into believing that prayer doesn’t really change things? Friend, don’t let anyone or anything steal that most precious resource from you. God hears our prayers and answers them.
When you pray, be attentive to divine information because the answers lie in the communication that comes from God. Don’t shut out the voice of God and claim that you have prayed. Many people have taken prayers as a form of ministering to God, but it’s actually a channel for God to minister to us.
PRAY WITH CONFIDENCE IN GOD
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, clothe me with the garment of prayer and give me understanding while I pray. Grant the desires of my heart in Jesus’ name, Amen.
