COME WITH THANKS
MAIN TEXT: Psalm 66:1—Shout for joy to God, all the earth.
Psalm 96:8—Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts.
Thanksgiving is one among many things God expects us to do always. There is no limit to how much one can thank God, because of His overflowing and undying love He has for us. The Bible says that He daily loads us with benefits. He is more interested and passionate about our successes and victories in life, more than we can ever desire for ourselves. The Bible, which reveals God’s mind to us, admonishes that we always come to God with thanks, irrespective of the seeming situation of our life.
He had already made us victors, champions, and overcomers even before our conception in our mother’s womb. Do this consistently, and you will marvel at the results of giving God the Praises that He deserves. The blessings that come with being thankful are numerous. Thanksgiving should become the lifestyle of a Christian.
This is the beginning of the year, spend time daily, and thank God for the rest of the year. It’s wisdom to start the year with Thanksgiving to God. King David always brought Praises daily to God, notwithstanding the challenges, and God loved Him to a fault.
CELEBRATE YOUR GOD IN AN EXCEPTIONAL WAY
PRAYER: Thank you, Lord God, for the life you gave me, I praise you for your plans for me and I worship you for who you are to me regardless of my weakness. Thank God for a year well lived. Amen
