LET YOUR WILL BE DONE

MAIN TEXT: John 5:30—“I seek not to please myself, but him who sent me.”

Matthew 6:10—Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

“I am the Lord’s servant. May it be to me as you have said.” (Luke 1:38). This was the prayer of Mary, and Mary became the bearer of the Messiah, the Son of the living God, because she prayed that God’s will might be done in her life. Her life, and the life of the world, was transformed because she lived that prayer. Before we start running for the year and expect God to follow us, we need to ask God for His will over the issues of our lives.

We can follow Christ’s example and humbly submit our looming concerns into our heavenly Father’s secure hands. We can trust that God will be with us to help us through whatever we must endure. He knows what’s ahead and always has our best interests in mind. “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” – Proverbs 19:21

There are moments that God’s will for us will not be pleasurable, but our willingness to submit to it will give us the best life, knowing that God’s purpose is to prosper us and give us everlasting peace. There are prayers that are waiting for us to say, “God, let your will be done”. Remember that we cannot please ourselves than the God who created us. Stop fighting the voice of God in your spirit. Submit to it.

GOD’S WILL FOR US IS ALWAYS THE BEST TO LIVE

PRAYER: Lord, teach me to submit to your will. I trust your will and I open up for the fulfillment in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen.
