KEEP GOING, SUCCESS ISN’T FAR
MAIN TEXT: 1 Kings 18:42-43 So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees. “Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked. “There is nothing there,” he said. Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.”
1 Kings 18:44—The seventh time, the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’”
This is a poem written by Edgar Guest titled ‘Don’t Quit’, “When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, And the road you’re trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don’t you quit”. See, what you should not consider is quitting in life’s challenges.
Position yourself to pray what God has promised with precision, passion, and persistence. When Prophet Elijah prayed that God would send the rain, He prayed seven times. He kept sending his servant to check out the clouds until he was sure. He persisted in prayers until the challenge had to quit for him. Don’t stop pushing until you get there. Don’t Quit! God has answers coming to you today.
When you know that God is the one leading you, please keep going and surely, you will succeed. Remember that persistence doesn’t mean being stubborn, which is working against God’s will for your life. Give God your marriage, kids, finances, and your future. Return to God and get the next strategy to use. In the place of disappointment and rejection, speak to God for help—turn the pain into gain.
BE STRONG IN THE LORD GOD
PRAYER: Lord God, give me the breakthroughs that I desire and work for, give me a unique grace to soar above my limitations and the right keys to access my gates of divine settlements in Jesus’ name, Amen.
