RUN WELL TILL THE END
Main Text: 2 Timothy 4:6-8
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course and I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day and not to me only but, unto them also that love his appearing.
1 Corinthians 9:24 – Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
As a Christian, you are like a person engaged in a farm with expectation of a bumper harvest. You have to be mindful of the seeds you plant. You must ensure they are healthy ones, be sure you have the right implements, know the right season to plant the seed you have and as it germinates and grow, know when to remove weeds from around the crops to avoid the crop being chocked and possibly die or have stunted growth. Know the right time and the quantity of fertilizer to apply to the crops.
As a child of God, Christ has called you to work on this farm. He has called you to go into the world and preach the gospel to every culture (Mark 16.15). This means that you are saved to save others. To do this, you have to chew, digest, study and meditate upon the word of God day and night to be able to
evangelize to others. Warn and rescue the proud, liar, murderer, fornicator, idolater, gossip, bench warmer and other ungodly life styles to flee from such lives and come back to the Lord and master Jesus Christ. As you are doing this good work, be rest assured that the kingdom of the devil is being depopulated and devil will not be happy with you.
Abraham worked to the end, our master Jesus finished the good work to the end, Apostle Paul fought a good fight to the end and the same grace of God is upon you today from heaven to finish your good work to the end so that you can obtain the prize.
IT IS NECESSARY NOT TO LOSE FOCUS ON THE MAIN SUBSTANCE WHICH IS HEAVEN
PRAYER – Oh God may I never be found wanting in Heaven at the last day in Jesus name.
