Walk with Christ
Main Text: Genesis 5:24 “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him”.
John 2:6 – “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked”.
The original Hebrew meaning of walking implies that Enoch went up and down, in and out, to and fro, arm to arm with God, continually conversing with Him and growing closer to Him. God was His very life, so much that at the end of his life, he did not see death (Hebrews 11:5).He became the first man to uncover the true delight of walking with God. He pressed into God until he learned how to commune with God through every facet of life. Note that Enoch learned to walk and pleased God in the midst of ungodly world.
He obeyed and carried out all his responsibilities; cared for his family; He was so mindful of his walk with God, that he became less attached to the earthly things. Beloved, how intimate is your walk with God. Remember, we are all created by Him for enjoyment of a walking relationship, and you are responsible for developing your personal walk with God. For your destiny fulfillment; like Paul, determine to die daily to this earthly life, so that you will be taken up in spirit to a heavenly realm. The goal we are after is an everyday walk to unbroken communion with our Lord and friend.
