TAKE STOCK OF YOUR LIFE

TAKE STOCK OF YOUR LIFE

Main Text: 1 Corinthians 10:12

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall (NIV)

2 Corinthians13:5 – Examine yourself to see whether you are in the faith test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ is in you-unless you fail the test?

If you want to succeed as a Christian and make heaven, cultivate the attitude of keeping a spiritual diary with God. Every business requires that periodically, conscious and concerted checks are to determine the state of affairs concerning that business. And failure to do it makes it difficult to ascertain the level of growth or otherwise of that business. It helps to know also, areas of improvement in the quality and quantity of service delivery. So it applies to our lives.

Your spiritual growth and development is of utmost importance to God. Therefore you should always examine your life with the provision of God’s word to determine your state. Self-examination reveals our areas of weakness and or strength. Taking stock of your life involves checking and rechecking your Christian life. Where it calls for rebuke; rebuke yourself, if judgment; render it, if it is encouragement; then encourage yourself.

The word of God acts as a compass. It gives direction and counsel. Stock taking minimizes the chances of compromise in the life of a believer.

A MAN WHO TAKES STOCK OF HIS LIFE IS USUALLY ON TOP OF SITUATION.

Prayer Points: Oh Lord, help me to always walk in your path for me. Amen
