TREASURE YOUR HEART
Main Text: Proverb 4:23 – Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverb 3:1 “My son, forget not my law, but let thine heart keep my commandment.
Beloved, treasure your heart. King David asked God to search his heart and thoughts, so as to lead him in His way everlasting. No other person can search your heart more than God. The heart is very deceptive, many people have been deceived by their hearts many times, when the heart is cooking up wickedness, it tells its owner that all is well. That individual may not know the time he would be overtaken by evil. Do you think you know your heart? You don’t know. Many people have been caught, tried and sentenced for an offence their hearts had earlier assured them would bring no problem. Proverb 5:1-2 says, “My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding, that thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge
So treasure your heart. If you are sincere with yourself, you will yield your heart to God for examination. “I the Lord search the heart; I try the reins even to give every man according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doing” (Jeremiah 17: 10). Until God tries your heart, you may not realize that your good deeds have selfish motives. God cannot trust you with great kingdom secrets and treasures if your heart is not tried, and directed by the Holy Spirit that your desires blends with God’s desires for you.
ALLOW GOD TO SEARCH YOUR HEART.
