HAVE YOU REALLY PRAYED?
MAIN TEXT: Luke 18: 1 – And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint.
Luke 22:44 – And being in Agony he prayed more earnestly, and His sweat was as it were great drops of Blood falling down to the ground”
The place of prayer for effective and successful life endeavors can never be over emphasized. Prayer is the key. The disciples were personally trained by the Lord Himself yet, there was still need for prayer support. Jesus Christ so lived a life of prayer that the four Gospel writers wrote about His times of prayer “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out and departed unto a solitary place and there prayed (Mark 1:35).
In Luke 6:12, it is also written that Jesus prayed on a mountain all through the night alone. After that solitary Vigil, Jesus selected his 12 apostles, from the numerous disciples that followed Him. Jesus considered the selection, a crucial exercise and so needed to pray for divine guidance. So have you really prayed over that situation? When you pray, it brings open heavens, divine directions, healings, and deliverance etc.
A prayer less Minister cannot produce a prayerful congregation. Prayer is contagious. Jesus Christ is the greatest intercessor the world has ever seen and will ever know that lived a life of prayer. He had an unceasing flow of power and anointing in his life and ministry because of prayer and intimate relationship with His father. That intimacy was possible because of prayer. He prayed in the morning, day and night. Have you really prayed? Prayers coloured the ministry of Jesus Christ.
