BE STILL IN STORMY TIME

BE STILL IN STORMY TIME

Main Text: Mark 4:38-39 –  And He was in the hinder part of the ship asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him and say unto Him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm

Isaiah 23:2 – Be still, ye inhabitants of the Isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished (KJV)

God never promised us that as Christians, we will not face challenging times. The storms of life may rage, it may seem that your world is crashing down like a pack of cards. But remember God is there with you. Many times, the devil in our challenging times whispers to us through friends or neighbours or even family member that God has deserted us and it is the end of the road. In these times, you must be still and remember that God will never forsake His child.

In verse 38 of Mark 4, the wind and storm was raging the ship wherein the disciples were and Jesus was right there. Until they recognized and beckoned on Him, there was no calm. Friend, have you beckoned on God today? He is nearer to you in that storm than you know. Panic and fears are weapons of the devil to deflate your faith in what God can do. Resist being intimidated with these weapons of fear and panic but rather calling on Jesus today.

REMEMBER, EVEN IN THAT STORM, GOD IS WITH YOU.

Prayer Point: My God, may I stand firm in you in times of challenges and problems. Still my storms in Jesus name
