SUBMIT TO GOD
Main Text: James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Proverbs 3:6- In all thy way acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Submission to God is one of the many secrets to outstanding victorious Christian life. There must be submission to God Almighty before we can resist the devil and he will flee from us. Submission magnifies and exalts God in our lives so that when we resist and rebuke the evil one, he will not see us but God standing behind us.
The devil does not honour and tremble at the declaration of a carnal man. What defeats the devil is the power of God working through a man led by the Holy Spirit. The man who refuses to submit to God is under the authority and control of the devil. Such cannot rebuke his boss (the devil).
If you give a seasonal submission, you will receive seasonal victories and testimonies. Look at the life of Samson, when he submitted to the devil through Delilah, he did the same things he used to do for victory but he failed. This means that when we are not in submission to God, we may fast and pray, prophesy or cry but nothing happens. Beloved, check your life and give all to God to lead.
