SHUN UNGODLY COUNSEL
Main Text: Psalm 33:10
The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
Psalm 33:11- The counsel of the Lord standeth forever: the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Counsel can make or mar a man, if a man receives good counsel it has the ability to bring honour to such a man. Wealth without good counsel can heap poverty upon the fellow.
Counsel directs either to success or failure, the scripture stressed so much on ungodly counsel because ungodly counsel can bring curses and spiritual coldness. Psalm 1:1- “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful”.
Anybody who is living his life with ungodly counsel is working under curses because the scripture made it clear concerning counsel. Ungodly counsel can be gotten from the individual who stands in the way of sinners or who sits in the seat of the scornful.
Even when the wicked declares an ungodly counsel against the righteousness, God, says that it will never work against the righteous. Remember how God frustrated the evil counsel of Ahithophel so shall be your portion in Jesus name- 2 Samuel 15:31, 2 Samuel 17:23.
MAY ALL EVIL COUNSEL COME TO NOUGHT
