HOLY SPIRIT; THE COMFORTER
MAIN TEXT: JOHN 14: 26 (KJV)
“But, the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you”
John 20:22 – And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost;
The Holy Spirit being the third person of the Trinity has enormous works to do in our lives. He is the Comforter, Teacher, Counselor, the refining fire, the great intercessor with groaning that cannot be uttered. In fact, we cannot fathom or fully appreciate the work of the Holy Spirit with our human wisdom.
Jesus Christ in his infinite wisdom knew that we cannot do without the Holy Spirit at his ascension into Heaven where he is at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us.
We cannot worship or serve God effectively, without the help of the Holy Spirit. He knows the mind of the Father, and it is his duty to direct us aright if we invite and allow him, to take over the affairs of our life. Holy Spirit indeed is a great comforter and in times like this when all we hear, and see around us is sad news, we need this great person more than ever. He heals the heart broken, just talk to him. There is no much protocols to start relating with Him. Open up to Him.
