ANGER CAN KILL

ANGER CAN KILL

Main text: James1:19-20

Know this, my beloved brethren, let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Psalm 37:8- Refrain from anger and forsake wrath, fret not yourself, it tends only to evil.

Anger is a sorry feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility. Anger is characterized by antagonism toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong. Excessive anger can cause problems. Increased blood pressure and other physical changes associated with anger, makes it difficult to think straight and harm your physical and mental health.

As a child of God, you can always overcome anger by forgiving whoever offends you or go to the source of the cause of the anger and solve it and not going about with the stories of what made us angry in a way that will lead to even more problems or even killing people with our mouth and actions.

If you are angry, don’t sin by nursing your grudge. Don’t let the sun go down with you still angry. Get over it quickly, for when you are angry you give a mighty foothold to the devil (Ephesians 4:26-27).

As a child of God, don’t let anger dominate your heart, it can lead you to doing things that you will live to regret all the days of your life.  Never allow your anger no matter what caused it to last, if you noticed that you are always angry and you don’t know how to control it, ask God to take away the spirit of anger from you and replace it with the spirit of love and joy.

A HEART OF PEACE AND JOY DOES NOT HARBOUR ANGER

Prayer point: In Jesus name, turn around my heart to please you and joy overflowing daily. Occupy my heart, Holy Spirit
