SPEND TIME WITH GOD
Main text:1 Peter 2:2-Like new born infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation.
Matthew 6:33- Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to u.
Jesus regularly demonstrated the importance of spending time alone with God. Whether it was getting up early to start His day with prayer or going to His father in the midst of incredible stress and uncertainty. Jesus believed in the importance of putting his Father first. And if Jesus did it, so should we. But where do we start? Prioritize: if tomorrow you have an important meeting with your boss, wouldn’t u make every effort to show up? So why do you regularly ignore or postpone your appointments with God? Is it because you are too busy or lazy or you think it does not matter?
Spending time with God helps us to know him personally and also have a relationship with him. The phrase “quiet time” is tossed around casually in most Christian circle but what does this phrase actually mean? And what does it practically look like to spend time with God? Most of us hit the ground running each morning and go to bed exhausted later that night. We spend our days accomplishing tasks, small and big, that keep our families and lives in order.
If you value God, you will make out time for Him in your life. How many times do you talk to God in a day?
