EXAMINE YOUR WORK IN CHRIST

EXAMINE YOUR WORK IN CHRIST

MAIN TEXT – 2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves to see whether you are holding to your faith.

1 John 3:18 – Let us not love in word or speech, but in deed and in truth.

We are called from time to time to examine ourselves in our daily walk with the Lord. Believers who have been saved by the atoning blood of Jesus Christ have a spiritual family name. We are called Christians. This means an adherent to Christ. It means one who sticks to Christ in words, thought and action. Consequently, we should think of our lives as a canvas on which a picture is being painted.

As you examine your work in Christ, what would you rather have people see: the masterpiece of the presence of Jesus Christ or the shadow of your own profile – your cars, clothes, career, success and position?

Christians are expected to be rich in good works and also recognize with humility that we do not deserve such a privilege to be called His Sons and daughters. Thus, we should love righteousness, keep ourselves from sin and love one another. We cannot continue to practice sin and claim to be working for Christ. Let us always ensure that our work in word and deed is the same with our profession.

Our lives should give God praise and honour every time and not shame. Do not allow your life to bring reproach to the body of Christ.

WORK DONE WELL FOR CHRIST WILL RECEIVE A WELL DONE FROM CHRIST

Prayer Point – In Jesus name, help me to always back up our confessions and with actions
