Are you in the number?
Main Text: Matthew 24:31 “The great trumpet will sound and he will send
out his angels…and they will gather his chosen people…”
Philippians 3:20 – But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a
savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Brethren! Heavenly race is per head and it is for believers only. Mark 16:16 says
that whoever believers and is baptized will be saved and whosoever does not
believe will be condemned.
Observe that there are stipulated procedures to enable you be in the number. The rich Jewish leader in Luke 18:18 had the zeal to make heaven but his lost you material wealth districted him from being added to the number of followers of Jesus Christ.
Brother, what are your distractions? Is it lust for money, sexual immorality, idol
worship, or anger? Look! How you started does not matter but how you end up. Saul in Acts 8:1, before he became Paul encouraged the persecution of Christians and on his way to Damascus to do the same work; he had an encounter that changed his life to a devout Christian. Apostle Paul declared in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 that he had run a good believers. race, kept faith and is waiting for the victory prize which the Lord will give to all that wait with love on the day he will appear.
In Luke 18:29-30, Jesus assured believers who would forgo earthly distractions for the sake of God.s kingdom to be in the number to inherit eternity. The choice is yours.
REMEMBER THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE IN HEAVEN
