CHAINS ARE BROKEN
Main Text: John 8:32 – Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (NIV)
Psalm 107:13-14 – Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.
Chains are physical symbol of imprisonment. When someone is bound with chains, his movement is restricted. The devil binds his victims with chains as to restrict them from maximizing their potentials. These chains manifest through various forms such as unforgiveness, malice, lies, fornication, stealing etc. and they hinder from growing spiritually.
However, our main text assures that if we are deeply rooted in God’s word (The Truth) it will set us free, and the devil will have no hold over our lives. Jesus Christ has come to liberate from every chain of captivity which the enemy has placed on you. Before Jesus stepped into the life of the man with unclean spirit, who lived among the tombs, he was bound with chains and mesmerized by demons, cutting himself with stones and crying all night but after Jesus stepped in, he was let loose from the demons that held him and was healed.
The same miracle happened when Paul and Silas were held captive in the prison, they engaged in praying and singing and they were freed from captivity by the Most High God.
Child of God, I want you to know this day that God is still the same and has never changed his standard or ways. He is available to break the chains of addiction and sin which the enemy has placed on you. Invite Him into that situation today and see the chains broken.
IT IS ONLY JESUS (THE TRUTH) THAT CAN BREAK THE CHAIN.
Prayer Point: Lord, break every chain that hinders my spiritual and physical growth, In Jesus name.
