WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?
MAIN TEXT: Psalm 20:7 ‘Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the lord our God’
‘Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trusts in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord. Isaiah 31:1.
‘Your faith here refers to trust or confidence. Where do you repose your trust or confidence? Is it in your wealth, certificates, personality, position, fame, family background? Is your faith in the many connections you have?
Read the second scripture again and see where God has placed you. You are doomed to failure. ‘Woe unto you’. The help of man and all other things as listed in our first and second scriptures are not constant. They are temporary but God is constant and everlasting.
Whatever you think you have today may develop wings and fly away tomorrow connections; wealth, etc are not permanent.
Supposing you suddenly drop dead now? No matter what you are running from, you can run to God, he will save you. He is the only said rock. There is a time to seek God and that time is now. He is standing at the door of your heart, ready to come in and sort you out.
Open up to him in total surrender. But if you fail or refuse to accept him while you are alive, you will certainly meet him in death. Then there won’t be opportunity for repentance.
‘JESUS IS THE ROCK THAT NEVER ROLLS, PUT YOUR FAITH IN HIM’.
