IN THE POTTER’S HOUSE

MARCH 7 THURSDAY

IN THE POTTER’S HOUSE

Main text: Isaiah 64:8 (KJV) – “But now, O Lord, thou art our father, we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand”

Second text: Romans 9:21 (KJV) – “Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour”.

The story of Jeremiah and the potter in Jeremiah 18 is a familiar story which is going to form our main lesson in today’s devotional study.

Right there at the potter’s house, Jeremiah saw the potter make a pot that was not quite to his desire. He pushed the malleable pot into a ball of clay once again. The proceeded to remake the pot into something better. Verse 6 revealed that the potter has absolute control over what becomes the clay.

Like the potter, God lovingly molds His people into a vessel that He is proud to display (see our inside text). God is in full control of our lives and He makes us what He wishes. Though His molding may be painful, but just like the clay in the hand of the potter, we have no choice but to submit totally without questioning or arguing.

Beloved, as 2019 progresses, the only secret weapon to your victory is totally yielding to HIS will. God doesn’t send anyone away empty except those who are full of themselves.

Determine today to place yourself in His hands and genuinely allow the Lord to empty you and remold you to a vessel unto honour.

HE IS IN FULL CONTROL. RELAX!

Prayer Point: O Lord, as I fully yield today to you, make me what I never thought I could be.
