LIVE WITH GOODNESS AND MERCY

MARCH 16 SATURDAY

TOPIC: LIVE WITH GOODNESS AND MERCY

ACT 9:36 – Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and alms deeds which she did.

MATTHEW 5:7- Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

There’s a saying that “what goes around comes around”. The measure of kindness or goodness you show or give to people, determines the measure you will receive.

In our text, Dorcas was full of good works and alms deeds; she made coats and garments for widows. And when she became sick and died, the recipients of her good works cried unto Peter which brought about her resurrection. It is not necessary that you must be in abundance before you assist or help the needy around you.

There’s something God has blessed you with that He expects you to use in affecting lives positively around you. Discover it and shine with it to His glory. There are blessings in showing mercy and goodness (1). You obtain mercy from God- Matthew 5:7, Matthew 6:14-15. (2). It’s an evidence of God’s spirit in you – Gal. 5:22 (3). It has the capacity of reversing unfavourable state in your life Acts 9:46, Isaiah 38:1-5. 4. It glorifies the Lord and adds beauty to us (Matthew 5:16).

There is a family generational reward for those that sow seeds of kindness, it does not matter the attitude of people around you whether they act wickedly or not, there is victory blessings in living a life of kindness.

YOUR WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOUR TOUCH OF KINDNESS.

Prayer: I must live to impact positively in my generation Amen
