DISCONNECT THAT RELATIONSHIP
MAIN TEXT: Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend”.
Proverbs 22:24 “Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go”.
Relationship strengthens and builds person. A good relationship helps to connect a man to the place of honour and glory but a bad relationship can destroy a man even a community can fall because of wrong relationships. The scripture says that “Iron sharpeneth iron” If you are determined to be a successful person in this world, then you must seek for those that will sharpen you.
There are quality potentials in you but they need constant sharpening for it to be maximized. Just like a sword or knife needs to sharpened regularly so that it will not be blunt.
So many people who experience failure is not because they are created to fail but they lack the presence of people who will help to sharpen them in life. Do not make a friend to an angry man as it is written in the bible because one day he will exhibit his wrath on you.
Do not be in a place you are not celebrated no matter what may be. Every little effort you put should be celebrated so that more can be done through you. A smile, an applause, a good recommendation can make a mighty one but when a person is always discouraged it can hide a rising star.
Finally the Holy Spirit warned us that we should not be friends with the world and such friendship brings enmity with God. Choose and cut your friendships.
