VICTORIOUS OVER TEMPTATIONS

Main text: Genesis 39:12.
And she caught him (Joseph) by his garment, saying, lie with me:he left his garment in her hand and fled and got him out.

Second text: James 1:12 (kjv) Blessed is the man that endured temptation, for when he is tried he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to them that love him.

Joseph was a man of integrity and full of wisdom. God loved him because he never gave himself to any unholy or worldly thing that will ruin his life and destiny. He was focused despite the fierce challenges he had at his level. He was tempted yet never gave up; he was able to overcome it. Every temptation is a test to know if you are really calling God with carnal mind or in spirit.

Overcoming temptation adds a credit to your life, (a crown of life). The bible says after forty days fasting and prayers, the tempter came to stop him, Jesus Christ was victorious. Be in spirit always so that you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh for it is neither by power nor by might.

Temptation is always overcome when you study the scriptures and pray at all times. You must expect it each time you are to be promoted spiritually. Joseph was able to stand without fear and discouraging spirit because he had a dream and he never allowed temptation to abort it.

BE ON THE WINNING SIDE

Prayer: Oh God I need supernatural grace to conquer temptations.
