DON’T BE CARNAL
MAIN TEXT ROMANS 8:6
―For to be carnally minded is death: but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Galatians 5:16- So I say, live by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
The word carnal means worldly or earthly. The scripture says that to be carnally minded is death and the mind that is spiritual gives life and peace. The mind that is carnal is seen in the worldly person. Worldliness does not give a place for the Spirit of God to operate; the person that is carnal is in a battle with the word of God.
The spiritual mind looks upon the Lord and savior Jesus Christ. It is the mind that is full of the word of God. To be spiritually minded, one has to fill his heart with the word of God because it is the word of God that renews the heart of man.
Every mind that lacks the word of God will be a carnal mind. A spiritual mind that is rich in the word of life; gives peace and prosperity.
If we desire life and peace, we should be spiritual in mind. The spiritual man has spiritual dominion over sin and Satan.
Let‘s examine our lives and forsake the sinful desires of the flesh. Return to Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Allow the daily operation of the Spirit of God in your life.
