HOW DO YOU USE YOUR MOUTH?

HOW DO YOU USE YOUR MOUTH?

Main Text: Psalm 141:3 – Set a guard over your mouth, O Lord: keep watch over the door of my lips.

Proverbs 10:19 – When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise

God has given each of us a mouth: a simple basic means to help encourage one another. To enable us speak life over ourselves and neighbours as well. Too often we use our mouth to tear people down rather than build them up. Criticism given in the wrong spirit undermines a person’s self-esteem.

The bible tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue. When you use the mouth wrongly on yourself or towards your neighbour it creates destruction. The mouth is an important tool and it is profitable that we make good use of it daily by blessing your life every day you rise from sleep.

The mouth can also serve as means of sharing praiseworthy conversations that will lift the spirit of your listeners. Remember this that when words are many, we lose the essence of our opinion. Your words should cheer, inspire and build others up. It also guides, instructs and counsels others.

We can correct without criticisms. By so doing, you are putting your mouth to profitable use. Beloved, as you have arisen this morning, declare over your day that God’s blessings will rest upon you and your home and it shall be so, in Jesus name. The mouth is a powerful tool of expression and with it you can speak and change the course of your destiny when things are not going rightly.
