FOR SUCH A TIME LIKE THIS
Main text: Esther 4:14
“…and who knows, but that you have come to royal position, for such a time as this” NIV
Esther 4:15b – When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.
Mordecai who was speaking to Esther on Gods behalf told her that she must not relent and keep silent. For if she did, people will perish. He reminded her that perhaps she had been called to the kingdom as a queen for the very task that lay before her.
Brother, you too may be alive today in order to fulfill the purposes of God in your generation. The timing and place of your birth are not accidental. Many people spend their entire lives never knowing what their purpose is because they try to choose their destiny rather than follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Following God requires sacrifice and willingness.
Esther here reached a point of being willing to lay aside all her thoughts, plans and ideas. She was even willing to perish” if she needed to in order to obey God. Because of Esther’s sacrifice and bold step, God used her to save a nation (the Jews). She was more blessed in Gods will than she could ever have been anywhere else.
GOD’S WILL IS NOT ALWAYS EASY BUT IT IS ALWAYS WORTH ANY SACRIFICE WE NEED TO MAKE.
