DON’T SUCCUMB TO SATAN
Main Text: 1 Peter 5:9
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
2 Corinthians 2:11- In order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
We are created to subdue the devil and not allow the enemy to overpower us. To succumb to the Satan can come through temptations. Of course, Jesus Christ was tempted in the wilderness by Satan but He stood against him by the spoken word of God. To succumb to Satan can come through attacks and battles, we should never get weary in fighting and rebuking the devil in the name of Jesus Christ.
Sometimes, resisting the devil may not always be a thing of fighting or casting out. There are situations that by wisdom we should change our location immediately. In the case of Joseph’s temptation with Potiphar’s wife, he fled and overcame the devil. In some issues of marriage and family if you have tried resisting in other ways and it is not working, please try keeping off from speaking and doing those things that will scatter instead of building everyone.
TO RESIST SATAN; STAND FIRM IN THE BELIEVER’S FAITH
Prayer: I rebuke the devil fighting to stop me and I will always overcome in Jesus name Amen.
