LAZY HANDS, CRAZY POVERTY
Main text: Proverbs 28:19 – He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread, but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
Proverbs 20:13 – Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty, open thine eyes and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
Who is a lazy man or woman? A lazy person is that person who is unwilling to do work or make an effort. He/she feels reluctant to do anything, it may be in the area of work, business or academically, but prefers to beg people or family members for their upkeep.
Laziness lead to poverty just like we read in our main text, he that works with his hands will have plenty of food but he/she that is lazy will be poor. At times when I go and see able bodied men/women begging, and they have so modified the act of begging, they can fabricate all sort of stories to convince their victim so that the person pities him/her and gives money to them, I know that devil is truly frustrating destinies.
They are not disabled in any way; they can get a job or learn hand craft so that they can be able to feed.
No matter how small, it is good to start doing something so as not to become a liability to the family and society Job 8:7 says though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
The Bible describes one who is not able to provide for his family worse than an infidel 1Timothy 5:8
