NO FELLOWSHIP WITH THE DECEIVER
MAIN TEXT: 2 JOHN 1:7 – For many deceivers are gone forth into the world, even they that confess not that Jesus Christ cometh in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 – let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
The very first deceiver is Satan and he will never survive except as a deceiver but God has given us wisdom and power to resist his tricks. Adam and Eve had fellowship with the devil in the Garden of Eden and that brought their downfall. He ministered lies to them and they believed. Any moment you accept the lying spirit, you reject the Holy Spirit’s blessings.
The deceiver who is devil has his agents around the world carrying this same falsehood, seeking their prey to destroy. They are mandated with devilish task to twist every good thing that God ordained. Their aim is to pull down godliness and frustrate the godly so that the people who believe in God will begin to consider their ways. They have strong influence in the music, media, entertainment and fashion industries. Sometimes, logos and banners can be used as tools to propagate their lies.
Some people claim that it does not matter but it does. I remember, many years ago somebody bought a beautiful shirt for my child but I did not allow my child to use it because I saw a write up on the shirt boldly written “marine girl” with a full image of a mermaid. I imagined my child who is made in God’s image and likeness answering or advertising marine girl, God forbid! Let us not take these things lightly, even in cartoons and games recently, many introductions of bloody scenes and sorcery etc. Conscious oppose all forms of such fellowship, be wise and exercise dominion of light.
MAN IS MADE TO ONLY HAVE FELLOWHIP WITH GOD AND OPPOSE ALL FORMS OF DARKNESS
PRAYER: Spirit of God, help me to know the deceiver and the operations of the deceiver in human beings
