FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
Main text: Romans 8:9 – But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
2 Corinthians 13:14 – But their minds were hardened: for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remaineth, it not being revealed to them that it is done away in Christ.
A fellowship with the Holy Spirit is the ultimate life to live as a Christian. It is in the fellowship with the Holy Spirit of God that we receive strength and grace to remain in the faith. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth who reveals Christ more to us. There is no better helper than the Holy Spirit.
One of the major signs of a weak and backsliding Christian is the lack of fellowship with the Holy Spirit. A disconnection from the Holy Spirit is a total disconnection from God. Apostle Paul said that we are not in the flesh but in the realm of the spirit which reminds us that our bodies are God’s temple – the meeting place of this fellowship.
To enjoy the full blessings in this fellowship, the place of meeting which is our bodies must be kept holy and made available for the use of the Holy Spirit. God’s grace and love with divine fellowship makes a deeper Christian living.
ABIDING IN CHRIST REQUIRES A DEEPER AND CONSTANT FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Prayer Point: Spirit of the living God, breathe upon me afresh and come dine with me all the days of my life.
