BOAST IN THE LORD

MAIN TEXT: GALATIANS 6:14
―May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me and I to the world.

1 Corinthians 10:17 – But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

To boast in the Lord means to rejoice and have a public confession in behavior that we are the Sons of God. It is being joyful outwardly of the saving grace of God that is working in our lives. Luke 9:26 “For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in His own glory, and in His Father’s and of the holy angels.

We should boast in the Lord when we are with our family, friends, business associates, colleagues, neigbours and enemies. We should not be ashamed of the savior that died for us. There are people who hide bibles or other materials of worship from their friends or boss so that they will not be mocked. For every mockery received for Christ’s sake is an honour from God to us.

Apostle Paul had strong foundation in academics, and a great influence in the society. He had a company of highly influential friends in authority but when he surrendered to Jesus Christ which was the highest story of mockery in their time. God glorified him because of his obedience and faithfulness.

WHEN WE BOAST IN THE LORD, WE MANIFEST GOD’S GLORY

Prayer :

Oh God, give me a strong faith and courageous heart to always boast about you everywhere I go in Jesus name
