KEEP A MERRY HEART

MAIN TEXT:Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.

Ecclesiastes 2:24 – Nothing is better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his labor. This also, I saw, was from the hand of God.

So, how do we have a merry heart? Is having a merry heart something we can choose to do and be intentional about? Yes! We can choose to cultivate a merry heart in every season of life.

Having a merry heart comes from what you choose to focus on and what you believe. In order to have a merry heart, you must focus your attention and your belief on good things.

A joyful, positive outlook is beneficial to our health! A hopeless, negative feeling, however, can drain us of even the will to get well.

Seeking the joy that God can give, even in our trials, and seeking to be around those who cheer us up are healthy choices. Laughter and uplifting conversation can make us happier—and healthier!

A MERRY HEART IS A LIFE PLUS

PRAYER: I receive the joy of the Holy Spirit that doesn’t depend on the pressures of life but on the glory and peace of heaven in Jesus name. Amen
