LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR
MAIN TEXT: Leviticus 19:18 – You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord.
Mark 12:31 – The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
The understanding is that our neighbors are not just our friends but God’s children all around us, who God has called us to reach out to when maybe others pass them by. We can’t be christians without first, living our lives in a divine love that’s above the human kind of conditional love.
When Jesus Christ came into the world through the womb of a woman, He heard good plans for everyone including those who oppose Him in every sense. He brought in the plan of salvation for all who believes. Love conquers and rules over all things.
It’s not easy to show love especially to those who oppose us except we do that through the instructions of God in the Bible. We can’t say that we love God without loving our neighbors. This is the foundation of the Christian beliefs and practices.
