OUT OF BONDAGE
MAIN TEXT: Luke 4:18 – The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors.
Matthew 16:19 – And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
Salvation is found only in Christ. May we not deny that which Jesus suffered so greatly for. It is only in Christ covering us with His life that we can have life. Today may all of us accept salvation which is only found in Christ. The victory over death and sin is what the devil was trying to get Jesus to deny. He was trying to get Jesus to turn His back on us. He was trying to get Jesus to deny the path He had chosen to walk.
The captives which are to be set free are prisoners of the devil/satan. They are in satan’s labor camp, being forced, as slaves to do his bidding. They are in chains of bondage, and there is nothing they can do about it.
Today, the chains and articles of bondage are destroyed in the name of Jesus Christ. In Christ, there’s no captive. It’s the desire of God to see you totally free.
BONDAGE IS NOT FOR THE CHILDREN OF GOD
PRAYER: In Jesus’ name, I rebuke and reject that number of bondage given to me by the devil. I’m no more counted as Satan’s captive. AMEN
