LET GOD DECIDE

Main Text: Jude 11
Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain, they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s errors, they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.

Proverbs 16:25 – “There is a way that seems right to man but the end of it is death”

There are three people mentioned in our text above that we believers must beware of. All of them tried to get something that God was not willing to give them. Cain was jealous of Abel who had God’s approval. Balaam disobeyed God in favour of promotion promised by an earthly king. He chose a position of an earthly honour over doing Gods will and became so deceived that God spoke to him through his donkey to get his attention. Korah resented Moses because he wanted his position and power.

Our today’s world is filled with similar people who want position, power and compromise their integrity to get it. Korah’s rebellion caused his life. All these men sinned against God, trying to get something; God was not ready to give them.

When we ask God for something, we must trust Him to give it to us, if it is His will and in His timing. God has an individual plan for each of us and it is wrong to look at other peoples lives, and covet what they have. God promises to take care of all of us.

Everywhere you are right now on the way to where you are going, do not try to get ahead of God. Abraham and his wife Sarah got Ishmael this way. God has a great plan for us and even though we may have to wait, we will be blessed at the end if we allow God to decide.

“IN THAT MATTER, LET GOD DECIDE”

Prayer: Grant us Oh Lord your grace to wait on you always and to follow your instructions willingly in Jesus’ name Amen.
