DESIRE HIS GRACE

Main Text: Hebrews 4:16 – Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need.

2 Corinthians 12:9 – And He said unto me, ‘my grace is made sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in your weakness. Most gladly therefore, I would rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon us.

The world we live in today depicts clearly, the second coming of Jesus Christ. We are in the end times; the perilous times, ‘…when iniquity shall abound and the love of many shall wax cold’ (Matthew 24:12). The steady increase in the rate of vices and juvenile delinquency is fast affecting the church of God. Sadly, many worshippers have been carried away by the pleasures of the world; not because they want to, but because the tempting offers are too mouth-watering and irresistible. We are faced with many seemingly insurmountable challenges and temptations on a daily basis. Most of which tend to get to us; this is only because most Christians are not deeply rooted in the word of God.

We are called to draw near to the throne of grace, the place of prayer to obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need. In these perilous times, victorious life without the grace of God is very impossible. The second text explains to us that even when we are not worthy, even when we are not able, His grace is sufficient. To live victoriously with an assurance of life everlasting after death, we should desire the grace of God.

HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR US EVEN WHEN WE DON’T DESERVE IT.

Prayer: Oh Lord, give me the grace to live a righteous and fulfilled life, in Jesus name.
