POWER OF SILENCE

MAIN TEXT: Psalm 46:10—Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Psalm 35:22 (KJV). This thou hast seen, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.

You may be blessed by holding your tongue when someone provokes you. Regular silence before God can help us withdraw from the noise in our minds and embrace the will of God through His acts and voice without resisting God’s plan for us.

As believers, we should spend quiet time with God through studying and meditating on the word of God. We should allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us. When we come to God, let’s learn to give Him our attention and time. There’s no gain in hurrying out of God’s presence. It’s a time you hear clearly from God concerning that your needs and challenges.

It also helps you to have a divine encounter with God. As believers, it’s critical we schedule quality time with our Maker. This is where we disconnect from the phones, TV, music and computer, then sit quietly and have rest in Christ Jesus. There is so much to gain. Draw strength and wisdom from your heavenly Father.

A QUIET MOMENT WITH GOD IS MIRACULOUS IN THE BELIEVER’S LIFE

PRAYER: Sweet Holy Spirit, teach me the spiritual skill of being still before you. Give me the courage and wisdom to face my challenges in Jesus’ name, Amen.
