A CLOSE WALK WITH GOD
MAIN TEXT: JAMES 4:7—Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
JAMES 4:8 “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners: and purify your hearts, ye double minded”.
The bible says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Prov. 9:10. In other words, a child who has an intimate relationship with his wise father will be wise and will learn more of his father’s secrets of success. He will succeed in every good thing he lays his hands to do because he is guided by his father’s blessings and instructions.
The prodigal son did not succeed by keeping his distance from his father, he never appreciated the place of fatherhood in his life. Luke 15:17. Moses succeeded to leading the Israelites out of Egypt because he kept a close relationship with his heavenly Father and obeyed every instruction from God.
Brethren, how do you relate with your father in heaven? To receive from God, you must reverence him, and obey his instructions. There are blessings that come through a close walk with God. Don’t live your life without the covering of God.
WE HAVE A FATHER IN HEAVEN
PRAYER: My Father God, hallowed be your name, guide me and bless my life. Deliver me from all troubles and give me victory in Jesus name, Amen.
