STAND ON GOD’S PROMISES
MAIN TEXT: Psalms 145:13, “For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.”
Isaiah 55:11—“So shall my word be, that goeth forth out of my mouth, it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
God already knew that people may fail us, loved ones may disappoint us. Not only do we serve an everlasting God that has and will forever reign, but also a God that ALWAYS keeps His promises. God already knew that it can be hard for us, as humans, to hold on to His promises in a generation and world that prefers immediate results.
So when God has spoken to us about His promises, it’s not enough to just pray once, we must pray until something happens. Consistently study the word of God that speaks about the promise, to renew your mind and to strengthen your faith to receive the promises.
Don’t be quick to give up on God’s promise. When Satan begins to flood your mind with negative reports, tune in to what God can do and what He has done. Even if it tarries, it will surely come to pass.
DO NOT SETTLE YOURSELF, WAIT FOR GOD
PRAYER: Faithful God, satisfy me with your goodness. My waiting will not be in vain, O Lord, settle me and fulfill your promises in my life in Jesus’ name, Amen.
